PRAYER EVANGELISM

If our congregation here in Northampton is going to see our friends, family, neighbours and work associates won to Christ, we must pay the price in prayer. The Scripture tells us in 2 Corinthians 4:4 that: “The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.” Only prayer can break the hold of the enemy on people’s lives. Satan and his demons have blinded people’s minds, and they’re unable to see the glorious gospel of Christ.

Paul says in Ephesians 6:12: “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms."

Scripture on why we should be soul winners....

Matthew 4:19
And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.
If were not fishing for men who are we following? This statement is to individuals, notice the underlined word of YOU.

Luke 19:10
For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.
To be a Christian means to be like Christ, how can we say we are like Christ if we do not seek to save the lost?

Ezekiel 3:18
When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning,
nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked
man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand.

Ezekiel 3:20
Again, When a righteous man doth turn from his righteousness, and commit iniquity,
and I lay a stumbling-block before him, he shall die: because thou hast not given him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he hath done shall not be remembered; but his blood will I require at thine hand.

Ezekiel 33:6
But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman's hand.

Ezekiel 33:8
When I say unto the wicked, O wicked man, thou shalt surely die; if thou dost not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand.

Proverbs 11:30
The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.
What does that make he that does not win souls? Foolish?

Matthew 25:26
His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest
that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed:

Proverbs 10:5
He that gathereth in summer is a wise son: but he that sleepeth in harvest is a son that causeth shame.

John 14:15
If ye love me, keep my commandments.
The Lord commands us to GO and make disciples and reach our world. Also it says that the second greatest commandment of all is to love your neighbor as yourself. If we love ourselves enough to be in church and be saved where is our neighbor?

James 4:17
Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.

II Cor. 5:11
“Knowing, therefore, the terror of the Lord, we persuade men.”

Luke 14:23
And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.

Mark 16:15
And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

Acts 1:8
But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be
witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

Daniel 12:3 And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.

John 4:35-36
35 Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.
36 And he that reapeth receiveth wages, and gathereth fruit unto life eternal: that both he that soweth and he that reapeth may rejoice together.

Matthew 28:19
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

Luke 15:10
Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.

Nehemiah 8:10
for the joy of the LORD is your strength.

Acts 22:15
For thou shalt be his witness unto all men of what thou hast seen and heard.

John 15:5
I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him,
the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

Psalm 1:3
And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth
forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever
he doeth shall prosper.

Acts 5:42
And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ.

Matthew 9:36 But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd.
This is how Jesus sees the Lost!

Psalm 126:6
He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with
rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.
